Food and the various rituals and practices that surround it have been a recurring element in my writing for many years. So much so that I decided it was time for me to consolidate that interest into Eat The Table.
Some time ago I published a number of food-themed personal essays and essay-fictions. My doctorate investigated the food-migration nexus. A number of my plays and audio scripts have involved food—sometimes literally, sometimes as metaphor. Recent work in environmental history reignited my desire to write about food and its cultural surroundings, and provided a fresh perspective on matters culinary.
I live on unceded Gadigal land in Sydney’s inner west.
